Tom Dyal, founder of Cryo Weld Corporation, started out working for Cryo Dyne Corporation, a family business owned by his father and two partners. When Cryo Dyne Corporation was sold in the early 1990’s to US Airgas the feeling of a global company didn’t suit Tom, so he set out to start his own welding supply distributorship.

In 1993, Cryo Weld Corporation was founded in Poughkeepsie, NY by Tom with the support of BOC Gases. Tom wanted to create a family-owned welding supply business like the one he grew up in that offers the best customer service in the industry. He and his wife Debbie along with his brother Andrew worked long days making customer deliveries, running the store, and calling on potential accounts.

In 1995 Paul Pagano became a partner at Cryo Weld; having formerly worked with Tom at Cryo Dyne, Paul brought with him 10 years of experience in the welding supply industry. In 2011, Paul left Cryo Weld to own and run Freedom Propane Corp which Tom and Paul started together in 2007. Tom’s family and friends also are proud to work at Cryo Weld including his daughter, Michelle, his son, Tommy and his son-in-law, Nick Centorani.

Since founding Cryo Weld we have expanded to three locations located in Lake Katrine, NY in 1998, and our newest 11,000 square foot facility in Albany, NY in March 2009. The one delivery truck that we started with is now a fleet, operated throughout the entire Hudson Valley and Western Connecticut and Massachusetts by knowledgeable and professional staff with the same dedication to customer service on which the company was founded.

Our mission over the years has been to service and treat every customer as if they were our most important customer; they are not just numbers in a computer, but people that we’ve created relationships with within our community. We pride ourselves in being able to meet the needs of both small and large industries while still providing the personal attention that each customer needs. Over the past fifteen years we’ve been able to expand, even through tough economic times, because we have been able to keep to our core principles of quality customer service.
